A Chartered Professional and RPEQ Engineering Consultancy providing solutions for:

Vertical transportation industry -engineering support for lifts, comprising condition auditing, tendering for maintenance, upgrades, full replacement, and brand new installations.

We also supply and install wireless gateways for lift emergency phones, in order to provide a cost effective and reliable alternative to those offered by lift companies.

Airport GSE industry - engineering support for all GSE equipment including root cause analysis of machinery failures.
PROJECTS
We have undertaken many projects in both the vertical transportation (lift), and Airport GSE, Sectors.
Our largest lift customers include facilities managed by the ACCOR Group brands Sebel, Mantra, and Breakfree, as well as the Wyndham managed Ramada Resorts.
We have hundreds of small single lift residential clients also.
Our largest GSE customer is Virgin Australia, with whom we have provided support with a many and varied types of airport equipment. This includes designs for storage of aircraft seating, design changes to baggage tugs, to aircraft tugs, and to maintenance platforms, as well as all manner of other powered and static equipment.
CLIENTS
Our Vertical Transportation clients comprise a mix of mainly residential Bodies Corporate and small to medium sized commercial operators, in Brisbane, the Sunshine Coast, the Gold Coast, and farther afield.
In most cases these VT clients are seeking support in respect of compliance in managing lift systems, including emergency phones, but feel out of their depth in procuring and negotiating maintenance contracts, repairs, upgrades, and end of lift replacement solutions directly with lift vendors. We help these people achieve their goals.
Our GSE clients are large national carriers that require engineering support for Ground Service Activities. These clients have specific engineering support needs that we find often share similarities with our VT clients. In all cases safety and risk management dictate all activities.
ABOUT US
David Balfour is the Principal of Engineering Accountabilities and the resident RPEQ and Chartered Senior Mechanical Engineer. David has extensive experience from a number of sectors over many decades and provides knowledge and skill in the core activities of Engineering Accountabilities. David was originally a factory trained lift mechanic, later becoming a Professional Engineer. David is recognised Nationally being on the National Engineering Register.
David has worked as an owner's engineer, a consultant engineer, a plant engineer, and a design engineer over more than 2 decades. David returned to his Vertical Transportation roots in 2016 to start this business, and found that the engineering systems and documentation he had become familiar with as an engineering professional, greatly improved the integrity of the kinds of activities that Lift Consultants regularly undertake.
Engineering Accountabilities is based in Brisbane, Queensland, AUSTRALIA and services the local region as well other parts of the state and country.
